Tokchi (AI Token Tamagochi)
A downloadable tool for Windows and macOS
π€ Supported AI Providers Select your provider in Settings — each one is tracked separately.
| Provider | Log path |
|---|---|
| Claude Code | ~/.claude/projects/
|
| Gemini CLI | ~/.gemini/
|
| OpenAI Codex | ~/.codex/

πΎ How It Works Tokchi reads your AI CLI's local log files and converts token consumption into real-time activity. When your AI is working hard, your pet eats. When you step away, it gets hungry. Fall asleep at the keyboard long enough and your pet dozes off too.
Tokens flow in β pet plays eating animation Big token burst (10+/sec) β pet enters gorging mode No activity for 5 minutes β pet gets hungry No activity for 30 minutes β pet falls asleep

Each character has 7 unique animations and their own dialogue. The robot talks about data streams and CPU temps. The cat is aggressively unimpressed. The koala is just trying to nap.

βοΈ Requirements
- One of: Claude Code, Gemini CLI, or OpenAI Codex (CLI) installed and in use
- macOS 11+ or Windows 10+
- No internet connection required — everything runs locally
macOS users: If you see an "unidentified developer" warning, either install via the itch.io app or run this in Terminal:
xattr -r -d com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Tokchi.app
πΎ Your Data
All data is stored locally in ~/.tokchi/ — one set of files per provider. No servers. No accounts. No tracking. Tokchi only reads your local AI CLI log files — it never sends anything anywhere.
Made for developers who spend too much time with AI and not enough time with virtual pets.
